Dual mode dual layer planar mirror
摘要
Planar dual layer and dual mode mirror is considered. The mirror provides simultaneously reflection and transition from one layer to another for two orthogonal modes. The mirror is investigated by electromagnetic simulation in HFSS system. The investigated variants of mirrors provide dual mode matching at –(20…34) dB level in frequency range 2.5:1 and in the range of angles of incidence ± 60°. Application of dual mode mirrors for dual polarized narrow beam planar antennas design is discussed.



Spectra of thermal microwave emission from a film of homogeneous oil on water

The spectral dependences of the radio brightness temperature of the flat layer of a homogeneous oil film on water on the type of polarization, viewing angle, film thickness and thermodynamic temperature of water at a frequency range of 15...40 GHz are calculated. An algorithm for processing remote sensing data has been developed that allows in the frequency band of 25...40 GHz to significantly reduce the influence of the atmosphere and water thermodynamic temperature on the identification of interference dependencies of the radiometer output signal on the thickness of the oil film. This eliminates the need for absolute calibration of radiometers.



Optimization of the waveguide structure of a plasma reactor supported by powerful microwave radiation of a gyrotron at a frequency of 24 GHz

Numerical simulation of electromagnetic fields in a waveguide plasma torch has been carried out, in which microwave plasma heating is carried out by continuous radiation from a technological gyrotron with a frequency of 24 GHz and a power of up to 5 kW. It is shown that a decrease in the output diameter of the plasma torch makes it possible to more than double the amplitude of the electric field, but when the diameter decreases to 8 mm, the reflection coefficient increases significantly, which leads to reflected radiation entering the gyrotron. It is shown that taking into account the collision frequency corresponding to the real parameters of the atmospheric pressure discharge leads to a decrease in the reflection coefficient by more than 10. It has been experimentally confirmed that with a decrease in the output diameter of the plasma torch, the range of discharge maintenance parameters significantly expands, and the absorption coefficient exceeds 80%.



Broadband of the dielectric radio-absorbing structure
摘要
A basis of dispersion functions is constructed to represent the frequency dependence of the permittivity. The problem of optimizing the dielectric radio-absorbing two-layer structure has been solved. The ratio of the maximum wavelength of the operating range of the radio-absorbing coating to its thickness is obtained, which significantly exceeds the known value for layered structures.

Investigation of polarization suppression of noise interference in the main beam of a passive phased antenna array when exposed to another noise interference along the side lobe of the antenna
摘要
The problem of the influence of a noise interference coming from the side lobe of the antenna on the depth of a noise polarization suppression of interference in the main beam is considered. The problem of interference effect is considered for a passive phased antenna array with switchable polarization of antenna elements. An estimate of the depth of polarization suppression has been obtained.

A family of flat-top windows with low spectrum sidelobes for harmonic analysis of signals
摘要
Flat-top windows intended to reduce spectrum amplitude measurement error in discrete harmonic analysis are considered. A new family of flat-top windows, which provide the minimum level of the highest spectrum sidelobe and low calculation complexity is proposed. Mathematical representation of the new windows and a method of optimization of their parameters, which rely on authors’ earlier works are described. A number of flat-top windows of orders 1…6 and sidelobe falloff rates of 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, and 48 decibels per octave are synthesized, tables of their parameters are provided, and their characteristics are analyzed. An alternative technique to reduce the spectrum amplitude measurement error is proposed.



On the efficiency of statistical decision procedures in remote environmental monitoring

The basis of a multichannel remote monitoring system has been developed, which uses new methods and algorithms for processing remote sensing data and the formation of updated databases and knowledge based on modern computer technologies and using high-performance computing systems. A structural diagram of the multichannel remote monitoring system (RMS) is given. The main parameters of the RMS are calculated. The RMS “solver” block is analyzed. Analytical estimates of the efficiency of statistical decision-making procedures in remote environmental monitoring are obtained. Experimental verification of the efficiency of the RMS and algorithms considered is based on the data of the Kosmos-1500 satellite for the Arctic regions.



Noise-immunity of optimal symbol-by-symbol reception of signals with corrective coding in Galois fields for fading channels
摘要
A description of the algorithm for optimal symbol-by-symbol reception of signal structures based on correction coding in non-binary Galois fields is given. The results of modeling this algorithm are given in order to study its noise-immunity for transionospheric channels with fading due to scattering on ionospheric irregularities for a number of digital signals with multi-level phase shift keying in combination with a correction code with a parity check in Galois fields. It is shown that for these channels the use of a symbol-by-symbol reception algorithm provides an energy gain of up to 4.5...24 dB in relation to the reception of signals without coding.

The conditions for the existence of certain homogeneous and inhomogeneous optomagnetic effects due to light-induced changes in the ground state have been determined for the actually existing magnetic ordered single crystals with different magnetic symmetry.



Structural defect parameters assessment of composite materials using thermal imaging and eddy current non-destructive testing equipment
摘要
The possibility of determining the size of the delamination region and the depth of its location in non-metallic multilayer low-conductivity materials using the developed pulsed eddy current equipment by analyzing changes in the amplitude-time distribution of differential signals along the scan line is provided. A method for obtaining information on the shape and size of delaminations based on the use of a non-stationary thermal method of non-destructive testing is also provided. The effectiveness of the proposed methods for assessing the parameters of discontinuities in composite materials, as well as the productivity of the selected technical solutions is confirmed by the results of experimental studies conducted on samples of carbon fiber composite materials with artificially created structural defects in the form of delaminations of various sizes and shapes.

To the question of detecting single domains based on the anomalous Hall effect
摘要
Numerical modeling of the anomalous Hall effect in thin-film structures with strong perpendicular magnetic anisotropy was performed. The dependence of the Hall response on the position of a single domain inside the measuring cell (the Hall cross) was found. Corrections associated with the imperfection of the structure — rounded corners of the cross — were determined. The contribution to the Hall response of the skyrmion caused by the anomalous Hall effect was calculated.



Nickel oxide epitaxial films and diode structures based on them
摘要
Epitaxial NiO films on LiNbO3 substrates were produced using magnetron sputtering. Optimal conditions for deposition of NiO films to achieve their high crystalline perfection were found. Optical properties of NiO films were studied in the wavelength range of 250...800 nm. The band gap of nickel oxide was determined. Semiconductor diode structures in the form of interdigital Schottky barrier contacts to the epitaxial NiO film were fabricated. The current-voltage characteristics of the diode structures demonstrate low dark currents and the possibility of creating photodetectors for the UV part of the spectrum with a long-wavelength boundary of 340 nm on their basis.

Geometrized second approximation theory for electron guns with magnetically shielded cathode
摘要
The algorithms and results of calculations for electron beams from magnetically shielded cathode in ρ - mode emission are discussed using the second approximation of geometrized theory.
