According to the results of this study, aminoguanidine, which has anti-glycation activity, inhibits cataractogenesis in experimental diabetes. Laboratory animals with streptozotocin-induced diabetes mellitus treated with aminoguanidine showed less clouding in the lenses, and the content of advanced glycation end products, in particular, carboxymethyllysine, in the lenses was found to be reduced compared to the same parameters in animals from the control diabetic group.</p>
У лабораторных животных со стрептозотоцин-индуцированным сахарным диабетом на фоне приема аминогуанидина в меньшей степени формируются помутнения в хрусталиках, в хрусталиках снижено содержание конечных продуктов гликирования, в частности, карбоксиметиллизина, по сравнению с аналогичными показателями животных контрольной группы сахарного диабета.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>diabetes mellitus</kwd><kwd>aminoguanidine</kwd><kwd>nonenzymatic glycation</kwd><kwd>glycation end products, carboxymethyllysine</kwd><kwd>cataract</kwd><kwd>intraocular pressure</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>сахарный диабет</kwd><kwd>аминогуанидин</kwd><kwd>неферментативное гликирование</kwd><kwd>конечные продукты гликирования, карбоксиметилллизин</kwd><kwd>катаракта</kwd><kwd>внутриглазное давление</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Harding J.J., Egerton M., van Heyningen R., Harding R.S.
