The medical acoustic method makes it possible to diagnose the formation of pathological scar tissue in patients with purulent-inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region and neck
Objective: To provide arguments for acoustic screening to improve the diagnosis and prevention of secondary deformities of the soft tissues of the face and neck in patients with diseases of the maxillofacial region.
Methods: The mechanical properties of the skin were evaluated by acoustic parameters
The conducted study proved that the speed of the acoustic indicator device in patients with purulent-inflammatory diseases is 2.5 times higher than the speed of wave propagation after elective surgical interventions.
Conclusion: Changes in acoustic parameters objectively reflect the course of the regeneration process, and make it possible to determine the tactics of therapeutic, physiotherapy, or radiation treatment.
