Affective disorders accompanied by cognitive impairment in inpatients with cardiology: a clinical and pathopsychological study

Objective: to study the structure of affective disorders and comorbid cognitive impairment in inpatients with cardiology.
Materials and methods: the study included inpatients with cardiology with comorbid mental disorders (N=121). Clinical-psychopathological, psychometric methods, and descriptive statistics were used.
Results: the proportion of patients with comorbid affective and cognitive disorders (N=47) was 38.3% of the total number of inpatients with cardiology diagnosed with mental disorders. The structure of emotional disorders was dominated by pathology of the emotional sphere of organic nature of vascular genesis in accordance with the ICD-10 criteria for disorders of the headings F06.4, F06.3. (85.1%).
Conclusions: data were obtained on the mechanisms of development of comorbid emotional and cognitive symptoms in cardiovascular diseases (CVD).
